Who we are and this agreement
Pasture Farm & Feed (Pasture) is provided by Forge Systems LTD, 10 Roy Road, Wairuna 9584, New Zealand. Contact gabriel@forgesystems.co.nz for support, privacy requests or complaints. These Terms govern your use of the iPhone app, website and shared-farm service. By actively selecting the agreement checkbox and continuing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or access shared farm data.
Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract, or have the lawful authority and supervision required to use this business service. Use your own account and an email you control. If you act for a farm or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so. You must not accept on behalf of another individual who is creating their own account.
Accounts and invitations
Keep your password and private invitation links secure. Tell us promptly if your account may be compromised. An invitation is limited to the named email, is single-use and expires after seven days. Farm owners control membership and access roles. Creating a replacement account with a previously used email does not restore former farm access. You need a new invitation.
Farm ownership and permissions
You retain the rights you hold in the data you enter. You give Forge Systems LTD permission to host, store, back up, transmit and process that data only to provide, secure, support and improve the service as described in the Privacy Notice. Farm owners may invite or remove members, set access, and delete their farm. All authorised members can see the farm information their role permits; only owners can view the full membership list. Ensure you are entitled to enter and share the records, including information about other people. We do not acquire ownership of your farm records.
Contractor jobs and private job links
Authorised farm owners and editors can create contractor jobs, select paddocks, add instructions and GPS markings, send a private link to a contractor email. You must have authority to share that farm location, job content and any information about other people. Contractors see the full farm map with paddock boundaries and names or numbers; detailed paddock and job information is limited to assigned paddocks. A job link is a bearer key: anyone holding it can view and forward that job to workers without an account. Contractors and workers may pass on the same limited job access, but cannot expand the farm information shared or their permissions. Do not include unrelated personal or sensitive information in a job. The farm owner can revoke all access to a job at any time. Revocation stops further service access; they cannot erase screenshots, exports or copies already obtained. A job assignment or completion is not a contract for paid work made by Forge Systems LTD. Agree the work, payment and safety arrangements directly with the contractor.
Decisions and accuracy
Pasture provides planning tools and estimates, not professional veterinary, agronomic, financial, legal or regulatory advice. Predictions, areas, feed quantities, growth rates, stock estimates and maps depend on your entries, measurement dates, assumptions and third-party imagery, and may be incomplete or wrong. Check important results and actual conditions before acting. Maintain the independent records, professional advice and statutory reporting required for your farm. Animal-health records do not replace veterinary directions, medicine labels or withdrawal requirements.
Acceptable use
Do not access another farm without permission, enter unlawful content, impersonate someone, misuse invitations, interfere with security or availability, or attempt to bypass access controls. Do not upload unrelated sensitive personal information. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of information you supply and for following the law applicable to your farming activities.
Availability and changes
We aim to provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Connectivity, maintenance, software faults and third-party services can interrupt access or syncing. Keep suitable independent records and verify that important changes have synced. We may improve or change features. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes where practicable. Pasture is currently free; any future paid offering requires clear pricing and your separate agreement before charging.
Ending access and deletion
You may stop using Pasture at any time. Account and farm deletion are available in Account settings. Deleting an owner account deletes farms it owns and removes access for every member of those farms. Deleting a non-owner account removes that account and its membership while leaving other members and their farms in place. A farm can also be deleted without deleting the account. Download or independently retain records you need before deletion. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, security incidents or serious breaches, and explain the reason and allow a reasonable response where lawful and practicable.
Responsibility and legal rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, guarantees or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 or Privacy Act 2020 where applicable. Responsibility for a loss depends on applicable law, what caused the loss and the parties’ respective conduct. These Terms do not impose an unlimited indemnity on you or waive your statutory privacy rights.
Disputes and governing law
Please contact gabriel@forgesystems.co.nz first with any concern so we can try to resolve it in good faith. New Zealand law governs this agreement, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. You may use an available court, tribunal or regulator; nothing here removes that right or requires compulsory private arbitration.
Updates and evidence of acceptance
You agree once for your account. We record your account ID, server acceptance time, the document versions you read and their content fingerprints. Signing out, signing back in, changing devices, joining another farm and app updates do not require a new agreement. We keep the original acceptance record without recording later document versions as though you accepted them. Updated documents remain available to read, and we will provide notice of significant changes where appropriate. We do not treat silence, a pre-ticked checkbox or acceptance by a farm owner as your agreement. Acknowledging the Privacy Notice is not blanket consent to unrelated uses or a waiver of your rights. Your accepted versions remain available with your acceptance record.
